Chioro supports the following sources to get a category tree:
Import from BMECat
The stored category tree will be taken over completely, the attribute will be marked automatically.
Create from an attribute
The following format must be followed: root-cat|cat|cat e.g. Furniture|Office Furniture|Office Chairs|Chief Chairs.
Spaces are not allowed. In contrast to BMECat (the category attribute is determined automatically)
when creating from an attribute, the category field must be set manually.

Only one attribute can be marked as a category tree.
Display and filter category tree
If an attribute is marked, the category tree can be displayed.

Via Select and the “Apply Filter” button, the data view can be influenced.

In this case, only records in the category path “Spannwerkzeuge” are displayed in the data view.
Categories as filters in rule blocks
If an attribute is marked as category, categories can be used as condition in rule blocks. In the image, the rule block is applied only to attributes that are in the “wild” category branch.
